About Vanessa Schilling

“Many singers feel like there’s a hole in their voice, as I once did. They Struggle with vocal fatigue, tension, lack of power, vocal breaks and the feeling of being vocally stuck.

When these struggles happen, the nervous system can slip into into dysregulation - fight, flight, freeze, or fawn - making it difficult to fully access our truest, most uniquely expressive selves.

Our voice is deeply connected to who we are; it reflects our personality, emotions and soul. Several students experience breakthroughs that go far beyond singing. After years of frustration, it’s not uncommon for singers to feel a sense of relief, confidence, and freedom when they finally understand how their voice works. They begin unlocking parts of their voice - and in turn, parts of themselves.”

Vanessa worked for celebrity vocal coach Sophie Jolls for a decade at 1108 Vocal Studio on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. During that time, she worked with everyone from complete beginners to touring professionals and singers recovering from vocal damage.

Vanessa previously studied Vocal Performance at Berklee College of Music, but after years of confusion and frustration with her own voice, she realized traditional vocal training methods were not giving her the answers she was searching for. After exploring alternative approaches, she discovered Sophie’s contemporary, science based method. That’s when everything changed. This transformative experience fueled her passion for helping singers break free from vocal frustration and experience true vocal freedom.

Today, Vanessa blends her diverse training into a practical, personalized coaching style designed to create lasting results while bringing clarity to vocal confusion.
